iRox settings

Manage the Apple Health permissions and device connection that iRox uses to record your HYROX race and display live metrics.

Apple Health access

iRox uses Apple Health for the data needed during and after a race:

  • Workouts to save and retrieve completed races.
  • Heart rate to show your current effort.
  • Distance to calculate running distance and pace.
  • Active energy to include workout energy estimates.

Review or change access

On iPhone, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → iRox, then enable or disable the categories you want iRox to access.

Turning off a category can prevent its related metric from appearing or being saved with future workouts.

Apple Watch and iPhone sync

iRox uses the secure local connection between your paired Apple Watch and iPhone to synchronize race data. If a completed race has not appeared on iPhone, confirm that both devices remain paired and open iRox on each device.

Privacy and stored data

Race history and health-derived metrics stay on your devices. iRox does not upload this information to an external server or share it with third parties.

You can delete an individual saved race from Race History or Previous Races in the iPhone app.

Troubleshooting

  • If heart rate or pace is missing, review the Apple Health permissions above.
  • If race history is missing on one device, open iRox on both paired devices and allow time for local synchronization.
  • If the Watch app is unavailable, use the Watch app on iPhone to confirm that iRox is installed on Apple Watch.
